At Zeterre Landscape Architecture, it is our belief that equestrian properties can be beautiful and even garden-like while maintaining their functional requirements.  Recently we have taken on several projects where horses are as much of a love for the clients as their garden and landscape is.  In the time spent researching horse facilities in the SF Bay Area Horse World as well as around Lexington, Kentucky and even Europe; we’ve noticed that many equestrian estates and ranches maintain a purely functional aesthetic. We hope that our landscape architectural designs create a new way of thinking about equestrian properties and equestrian landscape architecture.

Zeterre's founder has always had a love for and appreciation of horses and it has always been a dream of his to intertwine his love for horses with his passion for landscape architecture. As noted in his bio, he spent a great deal of time in his younger years on his family’s ranch in the foothills near Yosemite, riding horses on forested trails with his family and friends. Recently he has taken up formal dressage training and is refocusing some of his attention on the art and science of classical riding.
